Luke is a renowned film and television writer/director who has made a significant impact in the industry. He is currently working on two exciting projects, Shadows, a supernatural thriller series co-produced by American and Brazilian companies, and Rubikon, an espionage thriller series co-produced by American, Swiss, and Icelandic companies, set in Germany, Switzerland, and Libya.
Recently, Luke was the Lead Director and Executive Producer of season one of The Swarm, a prestigious international science fiction series that premiered at the Berlinale and achieved ZDF's best ever start for a streaming series. The series won the Best Miniseries award at the German Television Awards 2023. Prior to this, he co-created and co-wrote The Drowning, a four-part identity thriller for Channel 5, which became the network's highest-rated and most-watched drama in 25 years.
Throughout his career, Luke has directed numerous prime-time UK TV drama series, including Britannia, Ripper Street, Criminal Justice, Spotless, Shameless, and The Village, as well as one-off TV films for the BBC. He has worked with some of the finest talent in the UK, both in front of and behind the camera.
Luke's impressive awards list includes a BAFTA for the first series of Criminal Justice (2008) in the Best Drama Serial category, as well as the Prix Italia for Best Drama 2009, Best Drama Serial at the Broadcast Awards 2009, and TV Crime Drama of the Year at the ITV3 Crime Thriller Awards 2009.
Luke graduated from The Royal College of Art and is represented in the UK by Casarotto Ramsey and in the US by Gersh.
