Marc Handler is a renowned American producer, writer, voice director, and story editor, recognized for his pivotal role in introducing anime to Western audiences. With an extensive career spanning multiple decades, Handler has worked as a creative executive for Sony, Japan, and an executive producer for Disney, China.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Handler earned two Master's degrees from the University of Southern California in directing theatre and writing for film and television. His impressive educational background laid the foundation for his future success in the entertainment industry.
Handler's work encompasses a wide range of projects, including American animation series such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Denver the Last Dinosaur. He has also written original episodes for these series and has been involved in the English language adaptations of various anime shows, including Voltron, Transformers, Cowboy Bebop, Fooly Cooly, Ghost in the Shell, and Steamboy.
In addition to his work in the United States, Handler has collaborated with international companies, such as CCTV, UYoung, BRB, and Sunwoo, on projects in China, Korea, and Europe. He has also worked on live-action TV dramas for Disney, China, from 2015 to 2018.
