Marcus A. Clarke is a seasoned Director & Producer from Brooklyn, with an impressive career spanning over two decades. In 2019, he directed three episodes of the Netflix reboot of the true-crime series "Unsolved Mysteries: Volume 1", which was produced by 21Laps and became the #1 spot on the Netflix top ten list globally for nine consecutive days upon its release in 2020.
Clarke's body of work also includes directing three episodes of the Netflix Original Hip Hop docuseries "Rapture", produced by Mass Appeal, and the feature-length documentary "The WIZRD", which chronicles the meteoric rise of Atlanta's rap superstar Future. He has a strong background in commercial production, television, and film, with experience working as a film runner for Spike Lee's Forty Acres and a Mule Filmworks, production manager at table-top commercial co. Santiago Inc., and first assistant director in commercials.
As a producer, Clarke has credits including CNN Films & Mass Appeal's feature-length documentary "Fresh Dressed" (Sundance Selection, 2015) and "Nas Live From the Kennedy Center: Classical Hip-Hop" (2018),which was the first hip hop documentary released as part of PBS's critically-acclaimed "Great Performances" series. He also executive produced and directed "Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali", a feature-length documentary that tells the extraordinary and untold story of the friendship between Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali, released on Netflix in Q3 2021.
In addition, Clarke has recently worked on an episode of Hulu's Original Series: "Rap Caviar", slated to release in March 2023, where he served as Director & Co-EP and followed the rise of Hip-Hop phenomenon and L.A. native Roddy Ricch.
