Marcus Anderson Jr, a talented individual, was born in Augusta, Georgia, and spent his formative years as a military dependent, with his childhood and early teenage years shaped by this unique experience.
As the eldest of Maruquel and MAJ Marcus Anderson Sr (Ret),Marcus was encouraged to explore his creative side from a young age. He pursued his passion for acting by taking classes during his collegiate studies at North Carolina Central University and Barton County Community College.
Marcus went on to receive his Bachelor's of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2012, where he also showcased his athletic prowess by walking on the track and field team as a sprinter.
After completing his education, Marcus made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He immersed himself in the city's vibrant acting scene by taking various classes throughout the city.
In 2016, Marcus's hard work and dedication paid off when he landed the starring role in the SyFy channel's cult hit Zoombies. He also made notable co-star appearances on Jane The Virgin (CW),Bosch (Amazon),and Life in Pieces (CBS) during the same year.
Marcus's breakthrough year continued with his casting as a Series Regular in the ABC pilot Presence, written and directed by the acclaimed John Ridley (12 Years a Slave). Additionally, he made guest appearances on Lucifer (Netflix),further solidifying his status as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
