Mark Povinelli's remarkable career is a testament to his versatility as a brilliant artist of superb acting, showcasing his talents across a wide range of mediums, styles, and genres. From New York Theater to Studio Films, he has demonstrated his exceptional range, effortlessly transitioning between slapstick comedy and heartfelt drama, broad caricature and quiet realism.
Throughout the 2000s, Mark toured the world as the critically acclaimed 'Torvald Helmer' in the OBIE award-winning production of Mabou Mines' Dollhouse, an inspired adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's classic "A Doll's House". His tour-de-force performances in various stage productions include the premiere of Martha Clarke's "Belle Epoque" at Lincoln Center, where he played the lead role of 'Henri Toulouse-Lautrec', as well as at the Shakespeare Theater, Children's Theater Company, Radio City Music Hall, Oklahoma Lyric Theater, Will Geer Theatricum, and UCLA Live.
In addition to his impressive stage work, Mark has also made a significant impact in film and television, with notable roles in Boardwalk Empire (2010),Water for Elephants (2011),Are You There, Chelsea? When not working, Mark dedicates his time to Little People of America, an organization that promotes awareness, advocacy, and medical assistance for individuals with forms of dwarfism. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
