Martha Kate Morgan is a young actress from Sydney, Australia, who has been performing from a very early age. She has three older brothers, and her younger brother, Ned Morgan, is also an actor. Martha Kate started taking ballet lessons when she was just three years old, and it was Ned who introduced her to acting.
At the age of five, Martha Kate would often tag along to her brother's drama classes, and she soon discovered that she had a passion for acting as well. Two years later, when she was just seven years old, she and her brother both found professional representation, and Martha Kate began to pursue her acting career in earnest.
Her first audition was for a television commercial for the Australian Federal government's "Respect" domestic violence campaign. Although it was just a minor role, Martha Kate received a callback and was eventually given the lead role. The commercial was a huge success, running for two years across the country.
Martha Kate's second audition was for the short film "Grace" (2018),which was a part of the Causeway Film's successful film festival circuit. The film, starring Eliza Scanlen, has screened at several prestigious festivals, including Cambridge, Flickerfest, and the St Kilda Film Festival.
In addition to her film and television work, Martha Kate has also appeared on stage in the Sydney Belvoir Theatre's production of "Girl Asleep," playing the role of Little Greta. She has also shot seven short films and five television commercials.
In her free time, Martha Kate enjoys horse riding, swimming, singing, playing with her pets, and spending time with her brothers. She is currently a top 10 finalist in the running for the Carmen Duncan Scholarship, which is awarded to outstanding young actors.
