Matt Cohen's life journey began in South Florida, where he excelled in both football and track during his high school days, while also maintaining an impressive academic record, graduating with a 3.8 GPA. After completing his secondary education, Cohen pursued a degree in business at Florida State University, where he also took a few theatre classes. However, his passion for acting soon took center stage, and he made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles to pursue his dream. Just 10 months after making the move, Cohen landed a lead role as the sensitive jock, Aiden Dennison, on the popular television series South of Nowhere. Since then, he has made guest appearances on various shows, including The OC, Medium, and Supernatural, and has also been a part of several movies, including one of the lead roles in Boogeyman 2.
The South of Nowhere cast has a remarkable tradition of supporting one another in their respective projects. Danso Gordon and Matt Cohen are set to star alongside each other in the upcoming movie "DarkHouse". Mandy Musgrave, who played a significant role in Cohen's web-series "Rockville, CA", guest-starred on Gabrielle Christian and Mandy Musgrave's web-series "Girltrash".
