Matthew Taylor Andrews was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, to Carolyn Andrews, a retired hospital administrative assistant, and Mark Andrews, a retired United States Army officer and former Detective for the New Jersey State Police, who served for 41 years.
Growing up in Marmora, New Jersey, Matthew graduated from Ocean City High School in 2009. He initially pursued a career in the medical field, attending Rowan University where he studied Athletic Training before switching majors and graduating with a degree in General Studies in 2014.
While still in college, Matthew discovered his passion for acting and modeling when he was discovered by Kathy Donahues Models and Actors in 2011. He has since been featured in print campaigns for prominent brands such as Nike, Spencer's Gifts, and Marriott Hotels.
Simultaneously, Matthew began his acting career, starring in the film Rachels Revenge in 2013, as well as appearing in films such as Slow Learners in 2015, Vector III in 2016, Oh My English! Hello America in 2014, and the KIA Hamstar commercial for the MTV Music Video Awards in 2013.
In addition to his film work, Matthew has also starred in several music videos, including Eve feat. Gabriel Saporta's Make It Out This Town in 2013, Gigi Rae's No Distance No Divide in 2016, and Veronica Kole's Lose Your Love in 2015.
Recently, Matthew earned his Associates of Science in Nursing from North Country Community College in 2019 and continues to pursue acting and modeling, having signed with Wilhelmina Models Miami in 2021, while also working as a Registered Nurse.
