Michael's upbringing in a family of healthcare professionals couldn't have been more influential, with his mother Kemba Cooper originating from Atlanta, Georgia, and his father Michael Cooper, Sr. hailing from Dallas, Texas.
As a child, Michael spent most of his time engaging in sports, but it wasn't until he was cast as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his first church play at the tender age of nine that he began to discover his passion for performing.
As he grew older, Michael continued to nurture his interest in theater, participating in various plays and productions. However, it wasn't until his senior year of high school that he was introduced to the possibility of a career in film, which would ultimately change the trajectory of his life.
With a newfound sense of purpose, Michael took the initiative to get headshots made and graduated from high school a semester early. He then focused his attention on acting, taking classes, workshops, and studying script analysis, all while working on short film projects, commercials, and other acting opportunities.
In January 2020, Michael signed with an agent and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he quickly began to build his resume and gain valuable experience on set. By the end of the year, he had landed his first major film role in "The Inhabitant," which provided him with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and growth.
In 2021, Michael continued to work on smaller projects, honing his craft and refining his technique. His hard work paid off, as he booked his second film, "On the Come Up," produced by Paramount.
Throughout his acting career, Michael has also been a dedicated student, attending the University of Texas and Texas Tech, where he is studying Political Science as a full-time student. Despite his busy schedule, Michael has maintained a remarkable 4.0 GPA and is on track to graduate from Texas Tech in 2024.
