Nicholas Harrison, a renowned actor, director, and playwright, embarked on his artistic journey in London, England, where he honed his craft at the London Academy of Performing Arts. Subsequently, he pursued higher education, earning a Master's degree in Directing from the University of Victoria and a PhD from the University of British Columbia.
As a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Harrison has made a significant impact in the industry, showcasing his exceptional talent as an award-winning actor and co-creator of the acclaimed Web-Series Fools For Hire. His extensive experience has also led him to write a book about the origins of stage combat in Canada, choreographing violence for film, television, and theatre productions worldwide.
Harrison's personal experiences have inspired him to write a one-person play, based on his own true story, about child abuse, which was nominated for the 2018 Jessie Richardson awards. Additionally, he has penned a book, Safe Space: The True Story of faith, Betrayal and the Power of the Force, scheduled for publication this fall.
Currently, Harrison is an instructor at Capilano University, teaching theatre and film, while continuing to work as a stage violence choreographer for various companies, including Vancouver Opera. He remains active in the entertainment industry, acting in film and television productions.
When not immersed in his professional pursuits, Harrison dedicates his time to philanthropic endeavors, raising funds for various charities through his involvement with the 501st and Rebel Legions. Having recently divorced in 2022, he resides in Tsawwassen with his daughter.
