Paul's journey in the world of comedy began as a member of TNT, a moderately well-known improv troupe based in Nelson, marking the starting point of his career. This initial foray into the world of comedy laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Subsequently, he relocated to Wellington, where he made his debut in stand-up comedy in 2013. Several years later, in 2016, he was presented with the opportunity to participate in two of the most prestigious comedy festivals in the world - the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival. During his time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he took on a supporting role in Rose Matafeo's critically acclaimed show, 'Finally Dead', further solidifying his reputation in the comedy world. Notably, he was recognized for his outstanding work and nominated for the esteemed Billy T Award in 2017, a testament to his growing success in the industry.
