Paul Winchester, a talented individual of Middle Eastern and English descent, grew up in Perth, Western Australia, where he completed his high school and drama school studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
As a young boy, Paul discovered his passion for acting at the tender age of 12, when he first attended acting classes. He played the iconic role of the Sheriff of Nottingham in the classic play, Robin Hood. In high school, he became involved in the high-school circus, where he honed his skills in juggling fire, unicycling, and clowning.
Paul's first professional job was performing as a clown in a nightclub at just 15 years old. He then became a regular member of the local amateur theatre, where he showcased his talents in plays and musicals such as Mister Scrooge, Annie, Romeo and Juliet, and The Browning Version. During this time, he also starred in all high-school plays, earning the Most Promising Performer of the Year Award on two occasions.
At the age of 17, Paul made his Australian television debut in the teen drama, "A Good Time Tonight". The same year, he gained entry into the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where he would study acting for the next three years.
With a career spanning over 26 years, Paul has appeared in numerous Australian TV classics, including Home & Away, All Saints, Packed to the Rafters, and Underbelly. He has also recently appeared in the groundbreaking TV series, Total Control, and has played lead roles in sci-fi films Infini, The Osiris Child, and Gabriel.
Paul has had the pleasure of working with renowned Australian film director/producer Shane Abbess on multiple occasions and is set to appear in the upcoming documentary/drama, Black Sunday.
