Paula's journey as a storyteller began with a burning passion to leave the Midwest behind and pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She did this by leveraging her experience as a beauty pageant winner, using her crowns to secure multiple roles on film and television sets. Her path took her to London and New York City before she eventually settled in Los Angeles, where she began to make a name for herself as a working actor.
As she gained more experience, Paula's passion for storytelling led her to explore other aspects of the industry, including producing and directing. She has produced multiple television series, directed a short film that earned her the rights to a global comic book, and accumulated over 150 credits in various roles, ranging from villains in the Resident Evil franchise to playing the roles of Barbie's sisters.
In addition to her acting and directing work, Paula has also had a successful career in commercials, with over 50 credits to her name. Her writing skills have also been recognized, as she has won awards for various scripts she has crafted. Her feature directorial debut, which was shot during her first pregnancy, went on to win the Audience Choice Award at the Dances With Films festival and received global distribution.
Throughout her career, Paula has been recognized with numerous awards for her acting, directing, screenwriting, and producing work. Despite her many accomplishments, she remains committed to refusing to pick a lane and instead continues to explore and experiment with different roles and projects.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Paula is also a devoted mother to two young children and a founding member of the 5'2" & Under Club, a group that celebrates the achievements and contributions of women who stand at 5'2" or under.
