Peter Caulfield was born in Boston, but his upbringing took place in Nottingham, England, specifically in the East Midlands region. His mother, Joan, hails from Essex, while his father, Shane Caulfield, has Irish heritage. Peter attended the Paul McCartney Drama school, also known as LIPA, where he earned a 1st BA (Hons) in acting.
Throughout his career, Peter has worked extensively across various mediums, including theatre, TV, film, and animation. Some of his most notable TV and film credits include "I Hate Suzie Too" on Sky and HBO Max, "Mystery of DB Cooper" on HBO, "Strangeways Here We Come" on Netflix, and "Doctor Who" on BBC.
Peter has also appeared in several notable theatre productions, including "A Christmas Carol" at the Old Vic, where he played Bob Cratchit, "Jerusalem" as Ginger, and "Enron" as Lehman Brothers in the West End. He has also performed alongside Ian McKellen at the Old Vic and opposite Tom Hardy, Hayley Atwell, and Rory Kinear at the National Theatre.
In addition to his live performances, Peter has also lent his voice to various projects, including the world-renowned video game "Elden Ring". He has also voiced the lead role of Rene in the animated film "After the End", which won several awards, including the Hitchcock Award for Best Short Film and the Kuan Dog Award for Best International Short.
Furthermore, Peter has read several audio books for Penguin, including novels by renowned author Jonathan Coe. His future projects include a short film called "China Man", in which he plays the role of Kevin, the leader of a racist gang.
