Peter Strand Rumpel, a multi-talented individual, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry with his versatility and range as an actor. Prior to his role in Red Letter Day, he was nominated for Best Male Actor in the 2012 AMPIA awards for his captivating performance as an older gunslinger in the gritty gothic western, Black Hills, directed by Cameron McGowan.
Throughout his career, Peter has consistently demonstrated his ability to master a wide range of roles and acting styles. He has played notable characters such as Wink Jourdain, a Quebecois Strip Club owner in the TV series Fargo, opposite Adam Goldberg; an Oil Executive in Tin Star alongside Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks; and the resurrected Demon Barber "The Blade" in SyFy's Wynonna Earp.
Peter's filmography also includes starring roles in Cory Lee's psychological thriller Defining Edward, where he portrayed the intractable and disturbing psychologist Brian; FUBAR, where he played the London punk drummer Fed and the dim-witted base player Pluck; and Stiffed, which has become a cult classic. He has also had the privilege of working with Gary Burns on his first and last exclusively dramatic films, The Suburbanators and A Problem With Fear, respectively.
In addition to his film work, Peter has extensive experience in stand-up comedy, improvisation, and sketch comedy. He was a founding member of the Obscene But Not Heard comedy group, which performed across Canada and at the One Yellow Rabbit High Performance Rodeo from 2000 to 2010.
