At the tender age of five, Marcus's childhood aspirations were fixated on emulating the iconic Superman. As he grew older, he gradually came to realize that his lofty goal was, unfortunately, an unrealistic one. However, this realization led him to pursue a new passion, one that would ultimately become a lifelong dedication: the art of Karate.
As Marcus delved deeper into the world of martial arts, he discovered a profound affinity for various forms, including Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Capoeira, and Hapkido. Over the course of more than twenty years, he has extensively trained in these disciplines, earning a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Notably, Marcus holds the esteemed rank of Kru in Muay Thai, a testament to his unwavering dedication to the art form. His martial arts repertoire extends far beyond these core disciplines, encompassing a broad range of styles, including Kung Fu, Boxing, Judo, Ninjitsu, and Gracie Jui Jitsu, to name a few.
Throughout his illustrious career, Marcus has participated in numerous tournaments, claiming several championship titles, including the NJ State Taekwondo Champion in 1994, the YB Choi Taekwondo Invitational Champion in 1995, and the Muay Thai Warriors Cup Super-Heavy Weight Champion in 2010.
In addition to his competitive endeavors, Marcus has also worked as a certified personal trainer, gym owner, professional fighter, bodyguard, and instructor, teaching martial arts and self-defense both locally and internationally for the past twenty-four years.
Moreover, Marcus has ventured into the realm of acting and stunt work, where his most notable areas of expertise include fight scenes, stunt doubling, choreography, and stunt falls. Despite his childhood dreams of becoming Superman being unfulfilled, Marcus has discovered that his journey as a student of martial arts has been far more rewarding.
With an impressive 40 years of experience in martial arts under his belt, Marcus continues to pursue his passion, seeking to learn and teach for many more years to come.
