Richa Moorjani, a talented actor, producer, and activist, was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. She made her series lead debut in Mindy Kaling's hit series, "Never Have I Ever", which topped the Netflix Top 10 category worldwide immediately after its premiere in 2020. Out of a pool of 15,000 actors from a global open casting call for the three South Asian female leads, Richa won the hearts of a multi-generational and international audience with her portrayal of the brilliant, bold, and stereotype-subverting 'Kamala'.
As a first-generation Indian American artist, Richa's versatility and talents have allowed her to play a diverse range of comedic and dramatic characters with depth and nuance, such as her critically acclaimed role as Officer Indira Olmstead in the 5th Season of "Fargo", which received 15 Emmy nominations. Raised in a family of academics and artists, Richa broke away from the expected career trajectory of an Indian-American girl growing up in the Silicon Valley and developed a passion for storytelling as a child. She studied Dramatic Arts at university and is a professionally trained dancer in Indian Classical, Kathak, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Bollywood.
