Rob Hudnut is a renowned storyteller in the realm of children's entertainment, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. His extensive portfolio includes movies, television series, and specials that have captivated billions of hours of viewership and generated a staggering $15 billion in entertainment, toy, and consumer product sales.
Prior to establishing Rob Hudnut Productions in 2017, a venture aimed at creating toy-based and faith-based franchises, Rob spent nineteen years as Executive Producer and Vice President of Mattel's entertainment division. During this tenure, he crafted award-winning entertainment for iconic Mattel brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price Little People, Rescue Heroes, DC Superhero Girls, and Masters of the Universe, to name a few.
Rob's impressive resume boasts co-authorship of "Barbie in The Nutcracker", the inaugural Barbie movie. He subsequently executive produced an additional twenty-seven titles, which have collectively sold over 180 million copies worldwide. Additionally, Rob is an Emmy-nominated songwriter, having co-written more than fifty songs for the Barbie movies, as well as songs for Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. His work extends to executive producing Barbie stage shows and live experiences.
Rob holds a degree from Princeton University. Before joining Mattel, he developed and co-executive produced the television series "Mighty Max" and "Captain Simian".
In his personal life, Rob is a devoted husband and father of twin sons. He resides in Los Angeles, where he can often be found indulging in his passion for tennis.
