Roshawn Franklin, a native of Los Angeles, California, is living his childhood dreams as a recurring cast member on the hit CBS show "FBI." As Special Agent Trevor Hobbs, he navigates the inner workings of the New York office of the FBI alongside the show's lead characters.
Before landing his role on "FBI," Franklin had already made a name for himself in the casting office by reading for various Dick Wolf productions, including "Chicago PD" and "Chicago Fire." It was during one of these auditions that he caught the attention of head casting director Jonathan Strauss, ultimately securing the role of Agent Hobbs with a single audition.
Franklin's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of fourteen, when he and his friend were cracking jokes in a Hollywood elevator. Unbeknownst to them, they were sharing the elevator with a talent agent who would ultimately give Franklin his card and invite him to the agency. Just six months later, he landed his first gig: a Lays commercial alongside Shaquille O'Neal.
As a child, Franklin's passion for acting was sparked by films like "Men in Black" and anything featuring Will Smith. He hopes to mirror Denzel Washington's career, pursuing drama and action films that can transport audiences to a world they wish they were a part of. His love for action films is evident in his work on procedural dramas like "FBI."
When he's not acting, Franklin is an amateur boxer and the founder of his YouTube channel. He is a dedicated supporter of the Boys and Girls Club, which he was a member of as a child. In the future, he hopes to work with renowned actors like Denzel Washington and Daniel Day-Lewis, as well as directors like Christopher Nolan and Ryan Coogler.
In the next five years, Franklin envisions himself as a series regular on a network television show, with a steady stream of film projects. He is currently writing a feature film, which he hopes to shoot within the next five years, as well as a short film that he aims to complete within the next six months.
