Rupert Fredrick Boneham was born on January 27, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is a renowned actor, recognized for his notable roles in various films and television shows, including Survivor (2000),Broken Bones - Shattered Dreams, a Story of Hope (2014),and Underground Entertainment: The Movie (2011).
Rupert's childhood was marked by adversity. At the tender age of three, he relocated to Kokomo, Indiana, USA, where he grew up on James Street. His father, Roger F. Boneham, was a Professor of Geology at Indiana University, while his mother, Georgette Boneham, of Syrian descent, taught Chemistry at Lewis Cass High School in Cass County, IN, and later earned her Master's Degree in Social Work. He has one brother, Christopher.
Rupert's youth was fraught with challenges. As an overweight asthmatic and Dyslexic, he faced bullying and abuse. In January 1982, he graduated from high school and moved to Abilene, Texas, USA. He initially worked as a pizza delivery boy before enrolling in oil-rigging school. However, the jobs dried up, and he found himself homeless, living in his car with his pet snakes. He eventually worked as a day laborer before enrolling in nursing school, where he maintained a remarkable 3.2 GPA by recording lectures and utilizing the Anatomy Coloring Book.
Rupert later moved back to Indianapolis, where he worked in the mental health field and founded his charity, Rupert's Kids.
His four appearances on CBS's Survivor (2000) catapulted him to fame. He has since acted in and produced several short films and a web series, Rupert Boneham's Frightmares (2014),which he also hosted. His credits include UPN's Half & Half (2002) and CBS's Yes, Dear (2000).
In 2012, Rupert ran for governor of the state of Indiana, alongside his running mate, Brad Klopfenstein, earning 3.94% of the vote.
Rupert is married to Laura Tyner, and they have one child, Raya.
