Biography

Ryan was born in Ft. Devens, Massachusetts, and his early life was marked by frequent moves due to his family's military background. As a result, he spent his formative years in various locations before eventually settling in the Washington D.C. area, specifically in Woodbridge, Virginia, where he spent most of his childhood. It was during this time that he developed a strong sense of roots and a deep appreciation for the region.

As he grew older, Ryan's family finally found a place to call home, and he went on to attend George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where he earned a degree in Foreign Language. This academic background would later serve him well in his professional endeavors, as he began to make a name for himself in the D.C. area's professional theaters and industrial films. Ryan's linguistic skills are truly impressive, as he is fluent in Spanish and has a deep understanding of various other languages.

In 1997, Ryan made the bold decision to relocate to New York City, where he would go on to make a significant impact on the entertainment scene. He quickly found success in the original cast of the Off-Broadway hit, AltarBoyz, where he played the role of Juan. This experience was followed by his appearance in Shrek the Musical on Broadway, where he portrayed one of the three Pigs, Bricks, and performed the role of Donkey numerous times. Ryan's talents also landed him a spot in the Broadway cast of Gettin' the Band Back Together, for which he wrote and created much of his own material.

In addition to his impressive stage credits, Ryan has also made a name for himself in television, appearing in the popular series "He's With Me" as Benny and the award-winning short, Obits, for which he won Best Actor at the 48 Hour Film Festival. Ryan's dedication to his craft is truly inspiring, and his passion for storytelling is evident in every role he takes on.

But Ryan's impact extends far beyond the world of entertainment. He is a dedicated volunteer and advocate for several organizations, including TDF (Theater Development Fund),ASTEP (Artists Striving To End Poverty),and Only Make Believe, which provides interactive theater for children in hospitals around the NYC area. Through his tireless efforts, Ryan is making a positive difference in the lives of others, and his commitment to his craft and his community is truly admirable.
