Sacha Dhawan was born in Bramhall, a charming suburb of Stockport, to a family of Hindu heritage, although he attended Thomas Aquinas College, a prestigious Roman Catholic secondary school, in the nearby town of Stockport. It was during his time at this esteemed institution that he had the unique opportunity to study alongside Alan Bennett, a renowned author, who had a profound impact on his development as an artist. Bennett's influence can be seen in Dhawan's impressive performance in the stage production of "The History Boys", which he first appeared in at the tender age of 12. His early start in the world of acting was facilitated by his attendance at the Laine-Johnson School of Acting in Manchester, where he honed his craft and developed his skills. In addition to his acting talents, Dhawan is also a skilled tap-dancer, showcasing his impressive abilities in various performances.
Dhawan's admiration for Bennett was so great that when he auditioned for the London stage production of "The History Boys", he was determined to impress the author not only with his acting abilities but also with his creativity. He recited a poem he had composed about the play and its author, which left a lasting impression on Bennett and secured him a role in the production. Dhawan has since appeared in numerous stage productions of "The History Boys" around the world, as well as in the 2006 film adaptation. His television credits include high-profile series such as "In the Club", where he played an expectant father, and "Last Tango in Halifax", where he portrayed a toy boy.
