Scott MacDonald is a seasoned character actor with a diverse and extensive list of credits in film, television, commercials, voice overs, and theater productions across the United States and on Broadway.
Born and raised in the remote town of Libby, Montana, MacDonald graduated from high school before attending Washington State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting. However, during his time at university, he became involved in several plays and ultimately earned a second Bachelor of Arts degree in theater.
MacDonald then pursued his Master of Fine Arts degree in acting at the California Institute of the Arts. He went on to perform in numerous productions at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, The Empty Space, and regional theaters in Atlanta, Santa Fe, and Washington D.C.
One of his notable roles was as the lead in the critically acclaimed and Pulitzer Prize-winning production of "The Kentucky Cycle," which earned him a Tony nomination and paved the way for his entry into the film and television industry.
MacDonald has voiced or appeared in hundreds of national commercials and CD-ROM games. He is one of a select group of actors who have guest-starred on all four of the modern Star Trek series, playing no less than six different creatures, including one human.
Throughout his career, MacDonald has taken on a wide range of roles, from Hamlet to Bullwinkle Moose, and even had a seven-year run as the character "Hilda" in the long-running Bud Light Ladies campaign, which included thousands of personal appearances.
When he's not acting, MacDonald is a devoted fly fisherman and returns to his native Big Sky country whenever possible. He is also a die-hard Washington State University Cougar fan, proudly cheering on his alma mater.
