Sera-Lys McArthur is a multifaceted individual who embodies a wide range of passions and talents. As a proud member of the Nakota/Assiniboine Nation, she was raised by her German-Canadian single mother in southern Saskatchewan, where she developed a strong sense of resilience and determination.
Despite growing up in a remote region, Sera-Lys began her acting career at the tender age of 13, and later moved to New York City to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional performer. She studied musical theatre and went on to earn a Master's degree in Acting from the prestigious East 15 Acting School, University of Essex, UK.
Throughout her career, Sera-Lys has gained recognition on both sides of the border, with recurring roles on popular Canadian television series such as Arctic Air, Hard Rock Medical, Burden of Truth, and Pretty Hard Cases. She has also made memorable guest appearances on hit shows like Outlander and Friends From College.
In addition to her work in television, Sera-Lys has also had leading roles in several independent feature films, including Robbery, Don't Say Its Name, and The First Encounter. She has also appeared in a key supporting role in the award-winning film adaptation of Monkey Beach.
As an emerging producer, Sera-Lys has successfully produced several short films, including kwêskosîw (She Whistles),Pharmalarm, Magic Madeleines, and The Wolf of Waubamik Woods, with more projects in development.
When she's not busy working on new projects, Sera-Lys enjoys teaching online ESL to children overseas, exploring the culinary scene in New York City, spending time in Central Park with her canine companion, and attending as many theatrical performances as possible.
