However, his desire to don the mantle of an actor eventually prevailed, and he made the bold decision to leave behind the security of his law career to chase his dreams. This courageous move ultimately led to his breakthrough in the world of cinema, with his outstanding performance in the acclaimed critically German film "Nowhere in Africa" (2001).
This remarkable achievement earned him the prestigious prize for Best Supporting Actor at the esteemed Dublin Film Festival. Tragically, Onyulo's life was cut short when he fell ill while back in his hometown of Kajulu.
