Skye Deva St. John Bennett, a dual British-American citizen born on May 2nd, 1995, in London, England, to American parents. Her professional journey began at the tender age of ten, securing her first film role as Steven Seagal's daughter in the movie "Shadowman". This breakthrough led to a series of film and television roles, including her portrayal of Mina in the film adaptation of David Almond's acclaimed novel "Skellig", which won the Carnegie Medal and Whitbread Children's Award.
Skye's character repertoire also features a mysterious, tarot card-reading young girl in the second season of the sci-fi series "Torchwood" and a youthful Martha in the TV adaptation of Ken Follett's historical novel "The Pillars of the Earth". Her theatrical debut at the age of 13 was as Nadia in Peter Flannery's translation of "Burnt by the Sun" at the National Theatre, London, in March 2009. She also appeared in Mark Haddon's play "Polar Bears" at London's Donmar Warehouse in the spring of 2010.
Skye's voice acting debut occurred in the 2017 fantasy JRPG video game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and its 2018 prequel DLC expansion, Torna ~ The Golden Country, where she brought to life the deuteragonists Pyra and Mythra. In a new creative venture, Skye started releasing music as Deva St. John in October 2018.
