Soha Ali Khan is a talented individual born in New Delhi, India, to a family of renowned celebrities. Her mother, Sharmila Tagore, is a legendary Bollywood actress and the Chair of the Indian Censor Board, while her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was a celebrated cricketer.
Soha's family is quite extensive, with her brother Saif Ali Khan being a prominent Bollywood actor, and her former sister-in-law Amrita Singh being another notable actress. She also has a fashion and jewelry designer sister named Saba, as well as a nephew and niece, Ibrahim and Sara, respectively.
Soha's mother, Sharmila Tagore, made a significant change in her life by converting to Islam after her marriage and adopting the name Begum Ayesha Sultana. This was quite a remarkable decision, especially considering her family's rich cultural heritage.
Soha's educational background is impressive, having studied at the prestigious British School in New Delhi, followed by Oxford's Balliol College. She further honed her skills by obtaining a Master's Degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
Before venturing into acting, Soha worked at Citibank and the Ford Foundation, as well as pursued modeling. However, it was only a matter of time before her acting talents shone through, and she made her debut in a Bengali film (Iti Srikanta) and a Hindi movie (Dil Maange More) in 2004.
Soha has since appeared in numerous off-beat Hindi/Bollywood movies, as well as a Godrej-sponsored show on Star Plus. Her impressive performances have earned her several awards, including the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Rang De Basanti.
Tragedy struck when Soha's father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, passed away on September 22, 2011, at the age of 70, due to a chronic lung infection. Soha is fluent in Hindi, English, and some Bengali, reflecting her diverse cultural upbringing.
