Steve hails from the picturesque region of Southern Maryland, where he initially pursued his passion for the performing arts by studying Drama at the prestigious University of Maryland. Following his academic endeavors, Steve made the bold decision to relocate to the vibrant city of New York in 1981, marking the beginning of his illustrious career in the entertainment industry.
In 1984, Steve made his Broadway debut in the esteemed production of The Three Musketeers, showcasing his impressive range as a performer. This initial foray into the world of Broadway was merely the precursor to a long line of notable roles that would cement his status as a respected thespian.
In 1993, Steve had the privilege of sharing the stage with the legendary Robert Goulet in a production of Camelot, playing the iconic role of Lancelot alongside Goulet's portrayal of King Arthur. This experience undoubtedly honed his skills as a performer, paving the way for his subsequent eight-year stint on Broadway as the Beast in Disney's beloved production of Beauty and The Beast, a role he brought to life from 1999 to 2007.
Steve's impressive resume also boasts starring roles opposite Melissa Gilbert in the musical adaptation of The Little House on the Prairie, as well as his portrayal of Joseph Pulitzer in Disney's Newsies, both on stage and in film.
