Steve North is a renowned English actor, having made his mark on the industry with his captivating performances in numerous television shows and stage productions. His breakthrough role came as Fireman Colin Parrish in the ITV drama London's Burning, a position he held for four series.
Since then, North has appeared in a diverse range of British television programs, including the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2010, EastEnders, The Bill, The Day Britain Stopped, Murphy's Law, Holby City, Midsomer Murders, Doctors, Is Harry on the Boat?, EastEnders: E20, and Casualty.
In addition to his television work, North has also had a successful stage career, taking on the role of one of the two lead characters in the award-winning play "Meeting Joe Strummer" alongside Emmerdale actor Nick Miles. He also played the solo performer in the original stage adaptation of Nick Hornby's "Fever Pitch" at The Arts Theatre London.
North's stage credits also include the role of Ted Narracott in the critically acclaimed production of War Horse (play) at the New London Theatre, a position he held from May 2013 to March 2014. He also reprised his role in the National Theatre Live broadcast on 27 February 2014 and subsequent Encore screenings.
In addition to his acting work, North has also ventured into filmmaking, co-writing the film South West 9 and directing the award-winning short film Cregan for Screen South.
As a passionate football fan, North is a dedicated supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion FC. He has also co-written two books about the club, Build a Bonfire (Mainstream Publishing 1997) and "We Want Falmer" (Stripe Publishing 2011).
