Stuart's passion for feature film directing began to take shape in the sixth grade when he won first place for a video project produced for an English class. This early recognition sparked a sense of possibility, and Stuart went on to pursue his dream, directing, producing, and editing a feature film as a senior in high school. This achievement earned him a spot at Boston University College of Communications as a film major.
Stuart's thesis film, "Bobby Loves Mangos," received critical acclaim from renowned film critic Roger Ebert at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to win 37 film festivals globally. Ebert's endorsement led to an invitation for Stuart to appear on his TV show, where his film was screened to a global audience, catapulting his career.
Stuart's debut feature film, "#STUCK," which he also wrote and edited, stars Joel David Moore and Madeline Zima. The film garnered several awards, including Best Performances at the Napa Valley Film Festival, Best Director, and the Audience Award at the Sun Valley Film Festival, and enjoyed a successful theatrical and VOD distribution run, now available on all platforms.
Stuart's second feature film, "Mantervention," for which he served as director for hire, stars Mario Van Peebles, Travis Van Winkle, Chloe Bridges, and Nick Roux. Shot entirely in Malibu, CA, the film was sold at the Cannes Film Festival and is currently available on all platforms.
Stuart has expanded his portfolio to television, directing his first episode of "Z-Nation" for the Syfy Channel. The episode, which aired in December 2018, received rave reviews.
Stuart has recently completed his third feature film, the thriller "Flawless," set for release in Summer 2019.
