Sue Devaney, born Susan Barber, is a renowned English actress, boasting an extensive career in both television and stage productions.
Her notable television roles include Debbie Webster in Coronation Street, Rita Briggs in Jonny Briggs, Liz Harker in Casualty, and Jane in Dinnerladies, spanning across multiple decades. Additionally, she appeared in various TV adverts, such as Gateway and Somerfield supermarkets, during the early 1990s.
In the 2000s, Devaney continued to impress audiences with her performances, taking on the role of Peggy in the hit Channel 4 drama Shameless in 2009. She also lent her voice to the role of Jane in Carol Donaldson's BBC Radio 4 play Normal and Nat.
