Tamika Scott, a talented singer, is most notably recognized as a member of the extremely successful R&B group Xscape. Throughout her time with the group, she delivered captivating lead vocals and harmonies, contributing to their widespread acclaim.
Following Xscape's disbandment in late 1998, Tamika maintained a relatively low profile, yet she did manage to record a solo track titled "Day & Night", which was released in Japan in July 1999.
As a family member, Tamika is the younger sister of fellow Xscape member LaTocha Scott. Moreover, she holds the distinction of being the first Xscape member to become a mother, with her daughter O'Shun Reney being born on March 24th, 1994.
Tamika currently resides with O'Shun and her husband, Darius Byas. Additionally, she is notable for being the first Xscape member to venture into production, penning and producing the song "All I Need", which was praised by The Source as one of the standout tracks on the album "Traces Of My Lipstick".
Furthermore, Tamika was believed to be an ordained minister, and rumors circulated about her plans to release a solo gospel album in the year 2000.
