Puppet Artist Tim Lagasse, a seasoned entertainer with a remarkable skill set, has been captivating audiences for over 29 years. As a renowned "Sesame Street" alumnus, Lagasse excels in designing, building, and performing a wide range of puppets. His impressive body of work includes a series of short puppet films for the PBS children's series "Between the Lions", which earned him three Daytime Emmy nominations.
In addition to his work on "Between the Lions", Lagasse has designed and fabricated puppets for various notable productions, such as "Blue's Room" and "Chappelle's Show". His most iconic role to date is undoubtedly the title character in Nick Jr's "Oobi".
Lagasse's academic background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Puppet Arts from the University of Connecticut, where he was the first student to receive the esteemed Jim Henson Memorial Prize in Puppetry. His professional accolades also include a Broadcast Design Silver Award and the prestigious Union International de la Marionette Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry.
Beyond his work as a puppet artist, Lagasse is also a skilled magician and regularly performs his Cabaret Hand Shadow Act. He is a proud member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle and is married to the love of his life. The couple resides in Hollywood, California, with their feline companions.
