Todd Slavkin is a seasoned writer, showrunner, and director with an impressive career spanning over 38 years in the film and television industries. He has collaborated with his long-time friend and writing/producing partner, Darren Swimmer, to work on a wide range of projects across various genres.
Together, they have written and produced numerous popular television shows, including SMALLVILLE, SHADOWHUNTERS, and most recently, THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY. Their work on this latter show earned Todd four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Young Teen Series and Outstanding Writing for a Young Teen Program for two consecutive seasons.
Todd has also developed pilots for various networks, including ABC, NBC, FOX, FREEFORM, SYFY, and The CW, where he created and served as showrunner for MELROSE PLACE 2.0. His other television credits include NO ORDINARY FAMILY, ALPHAS, DEFIANCE, DOMINION, and GUILT.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Todd has also directed episodes of SMALLVILLE, DEFIANCE, and SHADOWHUNTERS. He began his career in feature films, penning the scripts for DARK REFLECTION, starring C. Thomas Howell, and CONTROL, starring Ray Liotta, Willem Dafoe, and Michelle Rodriguez.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Writing from the University of Southern California, marking the beginning of his journey in the film and television industries.
