Tom was born at Westminster Hospital in London, but his childhood was spent outside the city. He pursued higher education, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Drama and Film from the University of Manchester in 2003. Later, he earned a second Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Acting from the London Academy Of Music and Dramatic Arts in 2006.
Tom's professional acting career began with a notable performance as John Halder in the West End production of 'Good' by C.P. Taylor, directed by Polly Findlay, at the now defunct Sound Theatre in Soho. He has also had the privilege of performing on stage at the renowned Royal National Theatre in productions such as 'The Revenger's Tragedy', directed by Melly Stills, and 'Major Barbara', directed by Nicholas Hytner. His extensive theatre credits include 'Cyrano' at the Chichester Festival, directed by Trevor Nunn, as well as performances at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis and the Bristol Old Vic in 'Our Country's Good', directed by Max Stafford Clark, among many others.
Aside from his acting endeavors, Tom has also ventured into writing for television, having worked as a comedy writer for the BBC and Channel Four. He is a skilled VoiceOver artist, represented by Another Tongue in London. Tom's family background is rich in artistic talent, with his grandfather being the renowned film composer Stanley Andrews, his uncle being the accomplished actor Anthony Andrews, and his brother being the talented actor and singer Florence Andrews.
