Valin was born at home in the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As the older sibling to talented actor Gracyn Shinyei, Valin's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of six, with his debut in commercials. He quickly made a name for himself in the world of film and television, showcasing his versatility and range as an actor.
Throughout his career, Valin has had the opportunity to pursue his passions for acting, dancing, and singing. His impressive credits include stage, voice, acting, special event speaking/hosting, and dancing roles, many of which allowed him to combine his skills in unique and creative ways.
One of Valin's notable stage performances was as Michael in the Vancouver Arts Club's production of Billy Elliot the Musical, where he also had the chance to take on the iconic role of Billy for a few days. Additionally, he played the role of Ralphie in the musical version of A Christmas Story at the Vancouver Arts Club.
Valin has also had the privilege of participating in various high-profile events, including the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Whistler, British Columbia, where he passed the torch to the Russian delegation. He has had the honor of welcoming and toasting notable figures such as Rick Hansen, Michaƫlle Jean (the Governor-General of Canada),John Lasseter, and Optimus Prime at various live events.
Valin has also had the opportunity to dance on stage with the one and only Mickey Mouse at Disneyland and has lent his voice to the American version of 'Noddy' in 'Noddy, Toyland Detective' and 'TD' on Martha Speaks, among other upcoming lead cartoon voice roles.
