Wayne Alexander, a thespian of considerable renown, hails from the picturesque San Joaquin Valley in California. His theatrical journey commenced at the esteemed Los Angeles City College Theater Academy, where he honed his craft and laid the foundation for a lifetime of dedication to the performing arts.
Subsequent to his training at the Los Angeles City College Theater Academy, Alexander sought out the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where he underwent a baptism by fire, appearing in an astonishing 25 productions. This rigorous repertory training has served him well, and he continues to draw upon the skills and knowledge acquired during his time at ACT.
At the American Conservatory Theater, Alexander also had the opportunity to learn the art of stage fencing, a skill that would later prove invaluable in his work as a fight choreographer. His extensive experience in classical theater has made him intimately familiar with the works of William Shakespeare, having portrayed iconic characters such as Hamlet, Romeo, Benedick, Iago, Proteus, Berowne, Claudio, and Edmund the Bastard, among others.
Alexander's theatrical prowess has taken him to the stages of New York, where he made his Broadway debut in Simon Gray's The Common Pursuit. He has also appeared in productions of A Streetcar Named Desire and Oedipus at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
In addition to his work in the theater, Alexander has also pursued a career in film and television, with numerous credits in episodic series and commercials. He is perhaps most notable for his contributions to the sci-fi series Babylon 5 and the cult classic film Spaced Invaders, in which he played the endearing and beleaguered gas station attendant, Vern, who, upon encountering the leader of a Martian invasion force, is transformed into the Zorro-like, robot-slave Verndroid.
