He left his hometown to pursue higher education on the west coast of Canada, enrolling at the University of Victoria, where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Following his academic pursuits, Wesley embarked on a fulfilling career as a high school teacher, sharing his passion for learning with his students.
However, it was during his tenure as a teacher that Wesley's curiosity about the world beyond his classroom walls was sparked. His captivating Social Studies classes, which explored the concept of the "global village," ignited a deep-seated desire to venture out and experience the world firsthand. This epiphany marked the beginning of Wesley's incredible five-year backpacking adventure, during which he had the privilege of immersing himself in the vibrant cultures of over 50 countries.
Throughout his travels, Wesley's innate love for creating and performing remained a constant companion. His parents had instilled a deep appreciation for the arts in him from a young age, and upon his return to Canada, he threw himself into the world of acting. This newfound passion would become a defining aspect of his life's journey.
Wesley's multifaceted career in the entertainment industry has seen him excel as an Actor, Producer, Host, Associate Casting Director, Publicist, and Press Manager. His impressive filmography boasts recurring roles on popular television shows such as Chesapeake Shores, When Calls The Heart, Bletchley Circle, and Shadow of The Rougarou.
As a stalwart supporter of independent film, Wesley is drawn to offbeat and unique projects. His experience working at the Sundance Film Festival for nine years has been a significant influence on his creative pursuits. Collaborating with award-winning Director Kevan Funk, Wesley has acted and produced in numerous short films, including A Fine Young Man, Weight, This Bleeding Heart, ADSR, and Stanley Park. A Fine Young Man went on to garner widespread critical acclaim and numerous awards at film festivals worldwide, including the Toronto International Film Festival.
