Zach Smadu is a Regina-born, Toronto-based actor who began his journey in the performing arts at a young age, honing his skills in musical theatre, dance, and acting throughout his school years. As he progressed, Zach made the decision to relocate to Toronto to pursue his post-secondary education in the Theatre/Drama program at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College.
Notably, Zach has made a significant impact in the television industry, starring as Daniel Svennson on the Global TV Original Series "Family Law", and appearing in three seasons of the acclaimed CTV series "Cardinal", where he played the role of Detective Ash Kular. He has also had recurring roles on the cult and sci-fi favourite "The Expanse" (Amazon),as well as on the Canadian Screen Awards-winning series "Kim's Convenience" (CBC),and the popular Canadian classic "Letterkenny" (Crave).
Zach's feature film credits include his roles in Paul Feig's "A Simple Favor", and the Golden Globe-nominated "Miss Sloane" by John Madden. In addition to his work on several holiday rom-coms, including "Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday" (Hallmark) and "Two Turtle Doves" (Hallmark),Zach has also had the opportunity to play the leading man in "Mistletoe and Molly".
