Pauly Shore, a comedian and actor, faces a series of setbacks, losing his home, representation, and ending up parking cars at The Comedy Store. He moves back in with his mom and struggles to revive his career. One night, a ghost of a famous comedian appears, urging Pauly to kill himself, claiming he'll be remembered as a comedic genius who died young. Instead, Pauly fakes his own death, and the media goes into frenzy, with celebrities discussing him on MTV and girls fighting over him on Jerry Springer. However, his plan is short-lived, and he's eventually arrested by the L.A.P.D. and sent to the celebrity wing of Los Angeles County jail.
