In 1892, a 3,000-year-old Egyptian sorcerer named Sutekh is furious after having his secret stolen. He resurrects three mummified high priests, led by the villainous "First Servant", to retrieve the stolen secret and the sorcerer who possesses it. The mummies terrorize 19th century Paris, seeking the young puppeteer Andre Toulon, who runs a puppet theatre.
