Idealist Bob Jones, a 28-year-old Russian translator at GCHQ, is torn between staying and leaving due to a new whistle blowing policy. He confides to his father, a retired Navy officer, that he believes the British and Americans are corrupt, just like the Russians. After a specific incident, Bob wants to report against GCHQ operations, but doesn't know who to turn to. His father, Frank, learns of Bob's death and becomes convinced it was not an accident. Frank, with the help of Bob's girlfriend, sets out to uncover the truth, putting his own life at risk.
