Complications arise when Molly McVey, daughter of a U.S. Senator, plots to have Corbett kidnapped, leading to the cancellation of the fight. The hired kidnappers mistake Ryder for Corbett, adding to the chaos. Meanwhile, a gang of crooks, led by McKean, targets the town to loot its valuables and steal the fight proceeds.
