In the Arizona town of Ruby, a series of gruesome murders takes place, with victims' bodies left to decompose in acid. Initially, suspicion falls on John Cooper, whose family operates a chemical plant and whose ex-girlfriend is one of the victims. However, upon the arrival of Dr. Anton Rudolph and Special Agent Parker, the true horror behind the events is revealed: a massive, genetically engineered 60-foot python is terrorizing the town. As the creature's appetite proves insatiable, the town must band together to find a way to stop it.
