When a member of an archaeological expedition is brutally murdered, Stony persuades the other two hesitant Mesquiteers to join him on a treacherous journey. As another team member meets a similar fate, it becomes clear that Rutledge and Otah, the Indian, are the killers. However, the group now finds themselves stranded in Indian territory with dwindling supplies.
