A magical power source at the North Pole, the icicle, is weakening, threatening the toy-making process. Santa Claus and his chief dog Santa Paws worry as Christmas spirit dwindles. Meanwhile, a young pup named Puppy Paws runs away, wishing he wasn't a special Christmas dog, and joins a group of five siblings in Fernfield. As Puppy Paws' power is lost, the world's Christmas spirit begins to fade.
