Johnny Cash's journey from his humble beginnings in Arkansas to international fame is marked by his passion for music, love, and struggle. He meets Vivian in Germany and they settle in Tennessee, but his music career takes off when he joins the boys and releases a record. He meets June Carter on tour and they develop a deep connection, but his addiction and troubled marriage threaten to derail his relationships. June helps him overcome his addiction and they eventually get married, with John proposing to her on stage.
