Undercover Army agent Steve Lawton, also known as The Durango Kid, is sent to Santa Fe with his assistant Smiley to deliver a gold shipment and investigate the mysterious disappearance of Captain Tanner from Fort Navajo. Upon arrival, they discover that the gold shipment is being targeted by a fake government agent and his henchmen, who are led by Krag Benson.
