Billy escapes from a Texas jail and heads to Sundown at the request of his friend Fuzzy, only to encounter Mort Slade, who is seeking revenge against banker Ainsley for holding a mortgage. Slade's accomplices rob the bank, and then orchestrate a bank run, knowing Ainsley lacks the funds to meet the demand.
