Kingpin background

Kingpin

A former champion seeks redemption by mentoring a talented young bowler and helping them achieve success.

Roy Munson, a former bowling prodigy, was trained by his father from childhood. After winning the Iowa state amateur championship, he became a bowling hustler with his partner Ernie McCracken. However, their success was short-lived as they were attacked by a gang, leaving Roy's hand severely damaged and requiring a rubber prosthetic. Ernie abandoned Roy, and he was forced to become a traveling bowling equipment salesman. Years later, Roy discovered an Amish bowling prodigy named Ishmael and took him under his wing. When Ishmael injured his hand, Roy had to face off against Ernie at a championship event, seeking revenge for his past betrayal.
